Barclays looking forward to 7-inch iPad, predict educator, gamer interest

Google Chrome may come to iOS

Google is reportedly seeking to beat Apple’s Safari by launching an iOS-based version of its Chrome browser. According to Macquarie Equities Research, Chrome for iOS may arrive as soon this quarter. Its debut will likely throw the two browsers into a heated combat similar to the late ‘90s “Browser Wars” between Internet Explorer and Netscape.

A cause for an iPhone smoking on an Australian plane in November, 2011 was identified.  It was reported that after a Regional Express airplane landing a passenger’s iPhone started heating up and smoking. The hot spot appeared to be a battery. The Australian Transport Safety Bureau withdrew a device and sent it for the examination.
